That link is the the old CSP pump, not the CSP-Mag pump.
The CSP-Mag is a good pump. Sold now by DangerDen, Swiftech, and others.

Is it just me or are you not showing how you did that CPU block?

 

That is why I also heat tested it.
There is a bubble of air in the seal that should compress under pressure.
But hose's are all on very tight so no leaks there.
If I have room later I may install some sort of easier fill port.

That is a "fetty's cold touch" waterblock. I like the look of it, as I want all copper watercooling in the end. (Besides the brass stuff)
Basicly made by a modder, I traded some hardware for one.

Wow, just got back to looking at this thread and I'm amazed how well this has turned out! I liked the idea of a wooden PC from the start, and the choice of Padauk was certainly helps to create a very nice effect; it has quite a rich colour to it.

The comparison shot between the render and actual thing shows your precision in building it - truly a masterpiece.

I like the waterblock, it fits with the theme of the pc. Looking awesome.

 

Well I figured out today that I didn't strip the motor of lubricant, as it doesn't have any. It uses sapphire bearings.
What happened was at some point I bent the original rotor. (probably when I was messing around seeing how it works)
Well since I took apart a CD-Rom to get the vibration dampeners, I also had two spare rails. These are the steel rails that the laser head runs along.
They happen to be exactly the same size as the bent rotor.
Using some WD40 and my drill I removed the old rotor by spinning it out.
(A hammer or something else would risk warping the blade)
I then installed the new rail and tweaked until the blade sat just right.
I then removed it, dremeled it down to size, and reinstalled it.
The pump now has no vibrations.

That waterblock is... well... not good enough for this mod. which is to say Crap. Seriously, it's a joke. Why that choice? the looks?

 

I think you'll find that's the correct name for a hammer is 'forceful screwdriver'

I don't have an oppsie unit, as you can see above the motor housing is all black.
C-Systems is doing a great job of tech-support and wants to check my unit out even if I messed it up. They really seem to care about perfecting their pump.

I did choose it because of the look. I know that many people don't like that waterblock, as they get hung up on flow rates. Granted I haven't fired it up yet, but testing with a butane torch it holds up non-stop to the heat, with the radiator dumping the heat as it should.
I won't be changing waterblocks for a few reasons...I haven't found one that I really like, and as most modders I am low on cash.

I will probably still have to make my own ATI waterblock, the only one I have seen that fits my needs is from Koolance, but it's rather bulky and odd looking.

Zap, that waterblock looks great. Great design. Was it made from molten metal poured over copper tubing? It looks like the sort of waterblock I'd love to try to make.

It is made from tubing bent into a coil, then soldered onto a copper block.

I got a lot of work done today.



I re-wired the entire PSU including the ATX cable.
Now the PC has exactly the cables I need, plus one molex for good measure.
No more mess of molex's stuck together.

I made a new harddrive bracket out of wood.
The new bracket has rubber vibration dampeners installed inside holes in the wood.

The harddrive bracket was carefully installed, along with the DVD Drive bracket.

This image gives you an idea of just how close the tolerance's are inside this case.
There is only millimeters of space between the fans and the harddrive bracket.
80% of the fans area is still exposed, so it shouldn't hurt airflow.

The same is true on the other side.
The ramsinks on the graphics card barely touch the harddrive bracket.

On the bottom you can see the lighted case feet.
Also there is a brass strip that acts as a stop for the lid.

Everything does fit inside as designed.

they are a piece of art, I purchased one, but could never bring my self to use it. I have it on my desk as a piece of art.

 

Like your mod very much. Don't you think the wood in front of the coolingribs on your graca will obstruct your airflow? Personally I don't think the heat will move now...

Do you have plans for the back of the case as well? or will it stay like this?
