Thanks to all of you for your comments and your presence in my thread. ;)

The structure pieces vibrations are absent. The big aluminium thickness and the fixing method of the details avert this problem......I hope!! :p

See you soon for the next piece, The Control Panel.... ;)

    Bye bye :thumb:

Control Panel? For what? Like controlling the WS? Monitoring temps and stuff?
Did I miss it or do you want to surprise us? ;)

It would be cool is u did all the buttons in the same material as all the other parts, in the cnc machine. But u maybe have your own idea.

question: if he was going to make a I/O panel and has the motherboard mounted in the usual way, why would he make one now? He doesnt know waht hardware he is using so I assume he will make it last when he knows what ports he needs and where.
Absolutely awsome by the way, I dont usually post just to say how awsome something is, waste of time really, words cannot explain this wonder of CNC brilliance. But this is absolutly great. I far surpasses all other mods, inclueding ORAC3 in my opinion.
    Keep it up :thumb:

I think he means a set of USB ports in the front of the case, or maybe a flashcard reader. G69T could strip one down to the bare electronics and make some kind of mounting piece for it so he has some USB ports and cardslots in the front of the case.

almost all motherboards have extra USB headers wich he can connect those things to.
If he has FireWire on the mobo he will use he could also mount those in the front of the case.

ofcourse you can use a 5.25inch bay for that (enough of those things on the market) but machining his own panel for those things would be really cool :)

to G69T: your mod is really awesome. this isnt really casemodding anymore actually... this is what i would call art :) making your own piece of high-tech art :)

btw, i got here because i saw a link by ediejo on the gathering of tweakers forum in his BatCase topic, wich is a really awesome mod too. also a real piece of art :)

    Thanks guys! ;)

Just a mix to the plexiglas and aluminium...;)

Your ideas and considerations are very important :thumb:

Thanks for your considerations...In this time, I'm planning the frontal piece of the case, including the control panel and the optical device slot. When I have the hardware, I will complete the rear side and the I/O slot of the case. ;)

    Want you an analgesic? :D

    Thanks wafflesomd ;)

The US are a marvelous nation, may be I'll come too! ;)

It's the reflected light of the water station reservoirs on the boxes :)

    Excellent update.

1 thing I find odd though, is that the cutout around the sword in the top plate in this picture doesn't line up with the side pieces.
With the high degree of precision in this case I thought that they would have lined up, or is this deliberately done for the purpose of light bleeding through the edges of the plates?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you're sloppy as you are far from it. It just looked odd to me, the way everything else lines up perfectly.

I think you already gave the answer...
I would leave it that way as it's such a nice effect with the light. :)
