the tube used in fuel lines are black, very flexible and impervious to most liquids. not sure about sizes though

yeah currently talking to a automotive company about it. they make tubes to specific sizes...just got to find some flexible enough. Although i did find some rather nice metal tube on www.alphacool.de which seems interesting

Komplett use to sell the metal re-inforced tube for pretty cheap a year or so ago. Was £5 for 3m iirc...

you can still get that metal re-enforced tube from www.alphacool.de EUR 2.49/m

stiff, but you can bend it to tight radius turns and it will stay in position.
    Alternatively looked around:

The last is the legis tube I use for 10mm in my rig (but clear in my case) and it was pretty good stuff.

(Buy the reel and sell the rest off when the jobs done :) )

The Shark only carries the 8mmOD version, and Mazzer is no-where-near as flexible as Tygon..

Black Tygon tubing doesn't come in a wide variety of thicknesses and most of the larger bores have walls that are too thin to be usable in watercooling setups. If you're desperate to find the stuff Mcmaster has a full offering black tubing in 6 different materials. Reinforced Nylon would be the most trustworthy but for what you want look at rubber.

would the legris 7/10 black tube be fine with 8/10 compression fittings?

Not sure where you got your information CS, but your mistaken..

The Tygon R-3400 (black) and the widely used Tygon R-3603 (clear), spec out the same:
    8mm(5/16"ID) or 10mm(3/8"ID) tubing have a wall-thickness 1/16" (.0625")
    1/2"ID tubing has a wall-thickness of 1/8" (.125")
I have never seen a H20-cooled computer use anything larger than 1/2" tube, so I did not look for specs beyond 1/2"ID..
Both also share the same Max-Pressure rating as well as Temp-Range. Both are Tygon PVC.
The Tygon R-3400 is UV-resistant, the reason for it's black color...The only difference from the Tygon that "everyone" uses and the black R-3400 are it's color and it's "softness" (aka flexibility). The black is rated @64A and the clear @55A, meaning the clear is softer and more flexible..That being said the Tygon R-3400 WILL-NOT work with Legris "push-fit" type fittings and the Mazzer will, so that tells you the black-tygon is more flexible than Mazzer's offering..
