has anyone ever rewired a ps2 racing steering wheel to work with xbox? cause i have one of those racing wheel setups and i want it to work with this badass xbox game i got
Buy an adapter to do that. I bought one and I have a PS2 Controller on my xbox as an extra controller. And it supports steering wheels too.
I'm looking for this too I wasn't able to find an adapter. What I want to to, is make the Logitech PS2 Wheel work with the original xbox. If there is an adapter I can buy, can anyone link right too it?
Well, it's a USB wheel, but built for the PS2. I found this converter: http://www.game-accessory.com/products/XB/XB035.htm Does anyone know first-hand if the wheel will work when plugged in with this?
Coming from an Xbox background, I'm going to say no, but that doesnt rule out the possibility it could work, simple and cheap way to test it: buy the little $5 extension peice ( breakaway part) slice it up and wire a female USB port to the corresponding colors ( lots of tutorials how to do this if you can't figure it out ) then plug it into the xbox, and plug your wheel into the adapter, I know not many xbox games even support the wheel , that was a problem before. So the game you're trying may not even support it AND the fact it's USB is making me think it won't work as well, if it was the PS2 connector and you had the PS2 > Xbox adapter, I could see it having a better chance.
Ive got a Nexxtech wheel/pedal combo that has USB, gamecube, PS2 and Xbox connectors. its just 1 wire with 4 connectors on it. I guess they are all the same architecture, because I don't see any circuitry for each one unless its in the rest of the wheel.
Im pretty sure its only available through Radioshack/the source. You might find it on ebay though. heres a link, this is the only place i could find it http://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/P...log=Online&category=Joysticks&product=2618107
