I love the look of your watercooling; the heavy industrial look is something that isnt seen enough :)

    Case Sketch

Hey.. As some of you might know, I talked about some polished alu cylinders for reservoir. Well, I have made a sketchup of the case so that you can see what I mean.. It´s my first time in Sketchup, so it aint so good...

Now remember, this is not a final sketch! Alot of things is missing on the draings, fx. the front door.

    Kind regards Thizen

Re: the comments about combining aluminum and copper
As an alternative, why don't you buy aluminum wire and insert it into the waterblock instead of the copper wire? A good hardware store or building supply store should carry heavy guage Al wire - it's frequently used for the service line from the weatherhead down to the meter box. Or ask an electrician foa a piece.

#49, What a shame, it´s gonna be painted .. hehe..

#50 I could do that, but I really like the look of the two color combinations... anyway, if i changed it, the radiator is still copper ;)

    kind regards Thizen

#52 Thx :) Yes, I think does cylinders are gonna be pure eye candy!

#53 Thx :) It´s a little hard to get all the details in sketchup, like fx. the flames on the fangrill.. But It was just to give you an impression of how the reservoirs were gonn be placed..

    Kind regards Thizen

    Eye candy

Hey.. just wanted to show you some pics of the air intake duct.. I borrowed my dads Sony R-1, a neat cam (if it´s in the right hands :hehe: ) Went outside and took som pictures, I was trying to catch the color in sunlight, but it seems to be really difficult for the cam to see the same as I see. It´s black with gold metal flack in it, but the cam can´t show it right.. anyway, here´s some pictures..

    Front pics

Hey guys, I know it has been a long time since I updated, but you know .. weekends, freinds and beer :)

Well I mounted the front with the front door yesterday, here´s some pics...

Now, imagin that all the alu you see is metallic black, and the air duct frame will remain chrom :) .. Now I don´t know wether to put the control panel just above the cd slot loading bay, or put it in the top fangrill as i mentioned before. Anyway, if I DO mount it in the grill in the top, then how should I fill out the space above the cd slot?

Also, I´m thinking about cutting a hole in the bottom of the front door and mount some mesh behind it, so that the air duct might suck fresh air in, how do you think it would look? should I do it, or keep the front door completly clean?

Also, I´m currently "turning" all the top and end things for the reservoirs on a lathe. And I might make some other things on the lathe now that I´m using it, some case feet or something :)

    Tell me what you think..

    Kind regards Thizen

As said many times before, the duct looks so good.

Like the front of the case, very clean, and stylish. Looking forward to see the front in black.

I think you sould go with the idea of making a hole in the front so that the duct can get all the air it needs. I also because it would look great.

But where did you buy the fan duct, or did you just happen to have it laying around?

[Danish]Men til sidst må man heller lige tage lidt dansk, det hele ser jo godt ud, og kan godt lide detaljen med frontlågen.[/Danish]

    Keep up the good work

#57.. Thank you so very very much :)

The fan duct isn´t something you might just find, is a very expensive piece from a huge cooling compressor (on ships and so on) which happened to be damaged, so I could take it :)

To bad about the duct, but guess I have to go with sometingh else then.

Regarding the latest update, looks great but the screws look dirty

I kinda ruins the overall look of the case.

    Keep up the good work.

#59.. The screw is dirty yes, it´s just wood, the screw isn´t finished, and everything you see in the pictures is going to be sanded and polished when finished.. So that isn´t the final product you see there.. :)

    Kind regards Thizen

hey man great job your doing.

    i got a question

in the corner of your case you have that cube where it attaches the three sides..right?...does it work well?...what size screws did you use (5mm or 8 mm)?

here is the pic of what im talking about [IMG]
