So its now 1.30 AM here in Texas and I have to get up at 4.15 for work at the bakery. Anyone have solutions for insomnia, because I'll be needing them tomorrow also because I work weekends. I hate this losy 3 days of work summer job, it makes me take my guard down. Work Friday, Sat, Sunday, then I get the rest of the week off, its terrible for the late night gamer. Anyway, books don't do it for me anymore especially Clancy, I'm pondering the biography of John Glenn I have stored for such sessions. Also, I'm wondering if Ny-Quil will do anything too. Any suggestions? Or should I just give it all up and start taking the caffeine? Iamgoodyy
BAH Sleep is for the weak. but if you are weak, my brother takes some sleeping pills. nytol or something like that.. but if you go the caffene route, go to thinkgeek.com and get some XTZ tea.
they will have cured cancer and the common cold before they cure insomnia. Get some melatonin. It helps a LOT and it doesnt leave you feeling groggy the next morning. Just don't overdose or you WILL feel groggy.
it's not just me then.... my solution (which is sort of working) is sorting out all the stresses in my life. i've been sleeping better recently.
lol sorting out your stressed wtf is stress, is ti that thing that makes you f*** up ur mods cause if it is i must have a lot
I have never suffered from insomnia but my wife has and almost driven her to insanity. She takes a benedryl to knock her out... she has to take it fairly early in the evening (around 10pm or so) or she has a problem getting up the next morning). Lately, I have had problems sleeping, not what I would classify as insomnia, I figured out it was taking in stimulants to late in the evening, cut out the Mountain Dew and cigarettes... helped me alot. I feel for ya man, irregular sleep cycles suck.
I've never had full-on insomnia but sometimes if I have trouble getting to sleep I think through my day, backwards. Start with going to bed and work back through your day thinking about everything that has happened. I find I usually drop off before I get halfway through. Thinking about it, I found that idea in a book on lucid dreaming... Hope you get it sorted though, not being able to sleep sucks
depends on your age if you're a teen, your circadian rhythms arnt going to let you go to sleep easily. i just talk on the phone until early hours of the morn, watch tv, LISTEN TO MUZAK (find some enya or something soothing). thats basicly all ive got.... the days are starting to blur together for me too
YES! do that... melatonin is muchos l33t apparently its consultant only drug over here in the uk but its sooo nice... i take it the night before exams so i get a good nights sleep without being knocked dead by other sleepng tablets it r0x0r
Thanks for all the support guys, in the end after some good music and lots of yawns I managed to get 2 hours of shut eye. But I will look into some of your suggestions. Iamgoodyy

The smiley buttons have feelings too, please, give our smileys the respect they deserve. Don't overclick and drive this Christmas. Think of the children.
Ok, SUPPOSEDLY if you have a cat, or a dictionary, or something like that at your feet, it helps one to get to sleep. I, personally, haven't tried it. I just heard it on the radio today Anything's worth a shot, right?
