I'm fixing a Sony Vaio PCG-F304 laptop for a mate basically its been formated and there are no driver discs for the video/sound/etc. The bar stewards at sony have the worst driver download facilities i've come across. They want you to enter loads of serial numbers for your laptop before you can even look for the stuff you need. Now the laptop in front of me has had all the stickers removed. I'm stuck. (The US site isnt like this but different specs so downloads are no good.) Can anyone help with this or email me the drivers if they have them? cheers Ride
are you sure that isn't a PCG-F340? please verify the model for me dood. [edit] what OS are you using too drivers for PCG-F340 - I couldn't find a listing for F304....
I've been to the US site too, the 340 is a different laptop too the 304. The drivers are the same though! problem is the US site only has updates not the full drivers. The guy is using 98se. If I put XP on it, it would probably pick up the drivers from built in library. (i might try this) But, the reason I cant is... The guy want to use it for business so needs a legit copy on there. He has a licenced version of 98se only. ride
Sounds like he's gonna need to stump up the cash then for a new copy of XP... Just curious as to why the serial numbers were removed aswell
