Just been out and taken some more pics of my car. It's amazing how good pictures make it look. In reality, the paint is shocking, the whole car needs a respray, its covered in scratches and dents. I think next winter It'll get a full going over.. hopefully.
I know the tyres are massive, they're being replaced for some lower profile jobbies tomorrow. :)
Also, the arches need work. I took off the plastic bits, and while there isnt any rust, there is lots of scratches, and a sort of rubbed-line where the plastic used to be.

Anyway. Click here for the pics.

    Samples..

Gorgeous. The pics don't reveal all the dents and scratches, but the rear bumper looks like it could do with a re-colouring.

    Very nice car. :thumb:

nice! those wheels go really well with the car. if i could afford it i'd be after similar ones for the 'rocco, but the ones that are already on it compliment it well enough so hey :p

I think they're the original ones that game with the GTI :)

Sweet looking ride, gonna be on the look out for something similar next year!

They're GTi rims for sure but I think they're from a mk2 GTi they look like 15 inch bbs wheels to me and I dont think the mk1 ever came with 15's

    Bloody nice car btw :thumb:

They're off a Golf G60 - not GTI. they're 2 piece split rims. Mk1's came with 13" wheels as standard, either a steel wheel, or a 'spider' alloy.

    Mk2's came with 1 piece bbs wheels, in 14" or 15" - or a 14" steel wheel.

I've got mahoosive brakes, so cant use the little wheels anymore.

Cheers for the nice comments :)

Ive been wanting a gti for a while but insurance would kill whatevers left of my checking account. Remember, make the car fast but not ugly.

Nice :) Is it a turbo technics kit you have in it? or just a custom jobbie? Can i expect to see you at santa-pod sunday for the spring festival?

Cheers boys - Yes, small world Sc0rian! - Your cars rather good too. ;)

I will indeed be at GTI Festival ;)

And its not a TT kit, its a custom setup - EIP manifolds, Garrett turbo, g60 management, etc.. :)
