your not gonna be happy if one of those pci or video card fails you would have to remove the psu.

As JSR77 said, I hope you won't have any problem with components, because to dismantle everything is going to be a bummer...

To test my configuration, i integrate the back fan and the hard drive. With all the components, it works !!!

with all this work, you can see cables are not place nicely inside. That's why i decide to modd my powersuppplie

I didn t have enough place to put on the powersupplie cover the connectics. That s why i create a box. It will be paint in white after glue

It's right that if i want to access on the pci cards, i have to take of the PSU. But how i said, i have this configuration since 3 years and the components are still the same so ...

Some few news of PuRiTy

After test of the yellow box, i stick all pieces together. You can see that i prepare deux squares for fixing the box on the PSU.

Then i made a hole where the cables will go through.

Next and last step of the day, i cut all wires, except the ATX, and leave them on dominos (i make a plan to remember the position)

Only the P2 connector won't be integrate on the front panel of the box. I have to find a way to hide it

i use solidworks 2006 SP0 and for the textures, a component of the software called Photoworks

After waiting 2 hours, i sand with my grinder to take off the extra glue. Then i but a coat of mastic to hide some holes.

When dry, i sand with 600 grit waterproof paper

A second coat of mastic was applicated and i sand it again

To maintain the box, i tap 2 holes

For the cables, i decide to sleeve them with this kit

To maintain the box, i put screws on the PSU

Now, the painting!!!. It's the first time so that's why i can do mistake on it Before painting the box with the final painting, i apply a under layer (???). I have to put 3 coats

i have to wait 24 hours now

hello,

back on the box. i sand it with waterproof paper 2000. And then i paint in silver colour. I have to paint again because one coat is not enough. It looks quite good. To compare, you have the PSU next it.

Hi !!

I'm back with the modding of my PSU

After giving a last layer of silver paint, i cover the box with varnished paint. Unfortunantly, the shining of silver goes out.

I wait one week to receive my modding PSU kit and then i started !!
