So, i installed my Datsun 120A project's seats, and had two seats to get rid of.. then i saw an old office chair in the corner of my carage, and an old, unused seat cover.. i started measuring, remeasuring, reremeasuring etc, after like an hour of measuring i started welding the parts together. the results? It's completely stable. i can turn the backrest down and lay on it with my full weight and it still won't fall over. It's the most comfortable office chair i've ever sat on, and if it gets too cold in here, it has a 12v heating system
wOw! now that is what I call cool! But I think you sohlud install a harness for when you play Toca Race Driver 3!
Good to see another car seat modded to a computer seat, good car seats are way more comfy than standard comp chairs. I have a sheepskin covered recaro (with headrest speakers), due to the nature of recaro's mounting system (separate mounting frame, so if you change cars just buy an adapter to fit seat into new car) i just had to drill 4 holes in the adapter to bolt to a comp seat frame. i still have to setup the headrest to work with 5.1 sound (need an amplifier), but they do sound great by themselves.
That's pretty cool I made something similar a while ago. I had a spare front seat from a Ford Cortina and an old stub axle. This is the most comfortable chair I've ever had: I wish mine had a heater in it
