http://www.digitaltigers.com/zenview-powerscape-ultrahd.shtml OK THAT IS JUST SICK. ANYBODY want to get me one? Talk about need crazy comp to be able to run decently with that much visual.
can anyone give an example of when such a system would be useful. Even for video editing going over 3 screens is overkill, especially at these resolutions. And gaming is completely out of the question due to the graphics cards used.
I've seen people using four screens for programming work. One monitor for specs/requirements, one for reference, one for code, and one for testing, and Winamp, and E-mail, and everything else.
Datacentre operations At my "desk" there are currently 4x19" 8x21" and 4x30" TFTs, and sometimes thats not enough
mainframe consoles, z/OS TSO, a couple different backup management clients/monitors, control-m guis, outlook and most of the HP openview suite (lots),
TBh, all that desktop space would bug me. First thing i would buy if I suddenly became rich is a nice set of HR Giger harkonnen Furniturehttp://www.hrgiger.com/gegauf/loft.htm
I run a 20" and 24" widescreen side-by-side as a home user and still often feel it's not enough. I could easily see a pair of thirties easily getting swallowed up when coding or whatever. And that's as a home user. Any time I do *anything* photoshop-related, I'd kill for a 10-foot screen that runs at the same pixel pitch as computer LCDs (so, like 16000x12000+) Tad, you just suck.
