That site completely locked up my laptop, but it said something like 200 odd years before it took over Google. So a pointless, but funny idea then.

Yeah it locked my PC up as well, I wouldn't recommend going on it.

Well, as well as the reasons ToiletGamer suggested, they're also making a lot of money out of it - nearly 18 thousand US dollars.

"202.546.295" I think that 202 million years with the two dots?

But an interesting way of making money, although I don't think Google will exist in 202 (million?) years!

In 23 million years, Google will fall to the rebellion.
I can't see how stupid this is. :duh:

Its makeing money, supporting its self (and the site) and its daft enough for random people to have made a forum thread. I reckon the guy who thought of it will be pretty pleased to be honest.

    (its also an amusing idea)

they should make a bit of cash off it, if google keeps on expanding.

I know someone in my friends school, who is 80k richer, because he listened to his dad when he was younger and invested in google when it just started, then whe nthat grew he invested into apple.

    Lucky bisterd.

Its a funny idea and now its been advertised on sites such as this im sure the campaign will pick up pace - though I do rather like the current hands google is in :S

Speaking of Google, they were at Linuxfest on Saturday (recuruting I think) and I thanked them on behalf of Bit-Tech for fighting the subhpheonas a few months back. I know we talked about an open letter of appreciation, but it never happened.

We generate money by serving Google text advertisments on a network of hidden Websites. With this money we automatically buy Google shares.

We buy Google via their own advertisment! Google eats itself - but in the end "we" own it!

By establishing this autocannibalistic model we deconstruct the new global advertisment mechanisms by rendering them into a surreal click-based economic model.

    haha! brilliant!

I agree with shooting who ever designed that background, I think it made my eyes go cross-eyed for a while. Slightly painful to look at.
