sorry, my english is not so good, but i wil tray to expain it: i've got een laptop screen: (not so old) dus somewone know how i need 2 let it work?? becose i don't now it thx ps: it is from a toshiba satellite A60
I've not tried that myself (yet), but everywhere I've seen this topic come up it seems that it is very difficult to do because you need a special controller. This is also mentioned here in the LCD FAQ thread at the top... See post #5.
If you have the display's datasheet there's 2 ways: - buy a controller as suggested above and if you get it to work you'll realize you were better off buying a second hand LCD monitor - the VFC method, quite unlikely it'll work but if you do; enjoy those 16 colors. My advice, sell it on ebay and get something nice for the money. Don't waste your time on it.
Some people may buy it as a replacement part. Laptop screens are fragile and prone to damage, after all.
you can never say really, it all depends who wants it when its listed and how much they want to pay...
Very little. They regularly go for $10 - 20 on ebay. And please... Use the Fsking Search. There's a 12 page long topic dedicated to answering laptop screen questions.
unless you have the dedication to homebrew a converter DVI-->FLATLINK or have something that can output the format i wouldnt bother. the laptop lcd had a LVDS flatpanel chip so i just used that to trace the signals im still working on the invertor pinout. unfortunately the only info google turns up for me about the lcd is one of my old blogs which i need to update. as you can see also the motherboard on that is hosed
you might want to look for an industrial display controller. it may have an lcd connection on it all ready for you.
Can you get the make and model number for the lcd (not the laptop) it should be on there somewhere. Also how many pins is the connector 20 or 30?
