Too fast in my case, so I guess it just maxxes CPU and goes as fast as it can. I don't mean to diss your work, I'd love to be able to write something like that^ - But Zmatrix is better for the leetness. Anyway, I don't think any of the pics so far are all that hackerish, more gamer/neato creative person then hacker. Whoever said it's all a bit 14 yr oldish is right, it is. Hard to really advise, the geekier people get the more they get into customising, then I think they get to a stage where it stops being about whats cool and starts being about what works best for using the damn thing. In short, regardless of what you do, only some people are going to find it leet.
If you want to look like a hacker... Go Linux... No self respecting hacker uses winidows... A good compiled gentoo... with a lightweight fluxbox or something on top of that... It's cool to show of conky, while you are doing lots of stuff, and only have 80MB RAM and 25%CPU in use But I ask myself, why do you have to prove something?
Why prove anything if you dad thinks your playing games let him think that you know better. My parrents think im gaming all day long buts that not true i just close the door and they know im working (note: my door is full of stickers with text like: "I Hack, Ban Me" , "I live in my parents basement" and "Work in progress".) They know to leave me allow when that door is closed.
Lynx browser is ghetto leet. If you want, when using notepad, just make the notepad background black and the characters green. What you really want to acheive is just using something that looks like msdos but with green letters instead of white ones
In theory you can change the speed by changing one of the variables in the source code. I wrote it when I was 13, so I'm not too miffed if it doesn't work properly (or at all) ch424
Thats real freakin' leet http://shadowmage.plinkomedia.com/images/screenshots/2003-02-09_Kyle_Linux_Mess.jpg
If you want to be real 1337 just run notepad++ all day long http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net Notepad++
Herman Miller Aeron chairs. they are the absolute daddy when it comes to office chairs. The light is a Tolomeo by Artemide, another design classic you see pop up in Techie Science fiction films all the time. I also have a Lamy Swift pen lying around on the desk. It is the pen that the Architect waves around in the Matrix films, but in my defense, I got my pen and desk light before the films did. (how l33t is that then? )
The screen is a 20" TFT from Dell. It is fine, trust me. As for the speakers, those are Cannon studio reference speakers. Second-hand examples are still widely sought by professional audiophiles and a fortune paid for them. they are considered some of the best active multimedia speakers ever made.
Evil..thats just evilily 31337 Nexxo you do realise you're ruining my life don't you? Mono and Duo destroying all my time and now the financially suicidal part of my brain wants an aeron chair! edit: Also, don't knock all multimedia speakers. I agree most sound shocking, but my current set(got with a DAN computer years ago) outdo the sound on my friends CD/AMP/bookshelf speakers setup. They're not all crap.
