SYNTHESIS Hi, im pretty new to these forums, ive been reading for the last 2 years, and havnt really posted anything, but thats all about to change. Behold!!! Systhesis I started this project over a year ago, It was going to goto xlan 2005, but it was only half finished. Now that i have more money and time on my hands i can get back to where i left off. I've decided to start the mod all over again, due to the fact ive completely destroyed my Silverstone TJ06. Before: Now: Some major changes happening since the old version: - New Silverstone TJ06 case - Danger Den watercooled graphics card, motherboard, and hard drive blocks (supplied by PLAYTECH) - New Motherboard - New power supply THANKS/SPONSORS: HARDWARE: Silverstone TJ03 Case DFI Lanparty SLI-DR Expert Motherboard AMD Athlon 64 FX60, 2.6GHz Dual Core CPU 2 x XFX nVidia GeForce 7800GTX 512MB GFX Cards 2 x Western Digital Raptor X 150GB Hard Drives OCZ PC3200 EL DDR 2x512MB Gold GX XTC Edition RAM OCZ 600w Powerstream Adjustable Power supply WATERCOOLING: Danger Den Black Ice X-Flow Xtreme II Radiator 2 x SwiftTech MCP655 12vDC pump Danger Den Aqua-Drive Hard Drive Cooler Danger Den NV-78 FC Dual GPU Set up Danger Den DFI chipset Block Coolit Freezone CPU Cooler
Well i already have most of the parts i need for hardware, all i have to get now is some of the watercooling gear all i can then start Heres the Silverstone case i just bought from Playtech, whore helped me pick it out. other wise i would have gone and bought a Lian or something. I compared this case with a TJ07 and i liked this one better, well here it is. My first mod to it will be to invert the ATX, to make it easier for me to install my CoolIT system
Well ive just finished inverting the case, the case is already set up to be inverted i just needed to drill out some rivets. take out some screws and it was done. Heres some pictures. I did have a little problem with the PSU surrounding and i will have to add an alu plate to it so it can support the top mobo rail
new updates in my sketches: Will be dropping into playtech tomorow to pick up my DD NV-78 blocks and a Swiftech MCP655 and my DD HDD blocks, so ill post pics tomorow, then ill be able to carry on with modding the case
How are you going to make the PSOne LCD fit if its PCB sticks into the optical drive + out the top of the case?
ill probably use a different lcd, just used that one in this drawing becasue it the only one i could find on SCC
Will it just be a LCD screen or a tocuh screen taken from a in car monitor or PDA? Either way the mod has promise and the detailed computer images show real insight into the mod and the finished product you wish to achieve...
the computer images arnt quite finished yet, i just wanted to see how everything will fit in my case, i still need to do all the theme work
Small update, have recieved my DD NV-78blocks and Aquadrive blocks thanks to PLAYTECH in New Zealand, just gotta get the MCP655 and a BIX2 rad now.
Well heres some PC Pr0n for u ppls out there how bowt those WC'd 7800gtx's ae sorry about some of the qualities of the fotos, i havnt much experience with digi cams
Well i recieved my motherboard block today, thanks to a mate. Its a Danger den DFI Expert Maze4 chipset block so i decided i was going to attach it to my mobo now sits perfectly tomorrow im going to pick up a MCP655 pump and a Bix2 radiator amd some black and UV green perspects
Well today i recieved my MCP655 and my BIX2 thanks to a mate. Now ive started to mod the case, starting with the top pannel for the radiator. I had to position the top grill over the old one that was already there otherwise it would leave a gap in the pannel. Time to Mask up Drawn a center line down the top pannel Positioning the grill. Drew out my cuting lines. Now we can start modding , started by drilling a small hole, big enough for a jigsaw blade to pass through on one of the corners. My flouresent light wasnt bright enough so we went out and bought this beast, i could lie down and get a tan from this thing Right, Hole has been drilled, now i need to file the edges to make room for the jigsaw. This should do it.
Now i needed to clamp the pannel to stop it from bending under the pressure of the jigsaw. Good, now i can start chopping up this mofo Sweet not much fileing to do here. Now thats done im gona rip out my power file, just to cheat a little
meh - power tools made to make your life better, i can see the effect of that light on your arm - lol Nice DD waterblocks mmmm they looks so sleek
