    Hi all im looking for a sniper game i think i saw on here, there werescreen shots, think it was made by someone who was an amature, maybe was from on linegame dont no, but if you do what wat it called ?? :duh:

    I can't think of any games that are specifically about sniping(at least none within the last 5 years) but most FPS games have sniper rifles in them. The ammount of actual "sniping" experience you get is debatable.

    A big delta-force like game, Joint Ops, would probably have some pretty enjoyable sniping, if you just wanted to snipe.

    I imagine the game you saw was counter strike or Battle Field 2. BF2 could also have some enjoyable sniping in it, but the weapons are so poorly done in BF2 that I don't see how anyone could derive enjoyment from whats supposed to be a precision gun. Counter strike has some sniping, but it's not a huge element, and generally between 30 and 50% of the sniper weapons are banned, because campers suck.

    It can be fun to snipe on Day of Defeat: Source if you're on a good server with no idiots :). However, I can't think of any games dedicated purely to sniping...

    Oh come on...sniper rifles are ueber in bf2 IF you got a feeling for the bulletdrop!
    I love sniping in bf2...its just a sweet feeling poping n00b sniper wannabes from the rooftops like birds or when the are running on open grounds :p
    Its way too easy...

    /me starts to brag a bit:I got the Veteran Sniper badge...

    I just all the weapons in BF2 feel like pea-shooters. I mean, they pop, they dont bang. Ruined the game for me.

    Agreed I also loved sniping on FEAR with the "Type 7" Laser rifle, pin point Crosshair + vaporising head = ROFL ;)

    CoD1/ou/2 can offer you alot of sniper fun.
    But you have to know how/where you can and cannot snipper.

    But no there are no real sniper games. Hitman maybe?

    On RTCW I use to snipe all day on a few sniper-maps (online). Fun fun fun!

    Isn't there a game called WWII Sniper? I saw some screenshots of it on google images, looks decent, and its all sniping from what I could tell.

    Second that. If a Marine Sharpshooter was half as stupid as this game the military would really need to have all their current snipers dumped in a volcano...

    sniping games themselves are a bit suck imo, but for the best sniper id seen play Farcry 16x zoom :rock:

    I aggre with Jake, sniping on Farcry is fun, the physics are a little bit off, but the whole holding you breath/crounching/laying down is pretty good, as is the glint off the scope.

    What about Ghost Recon?
    There's a lot of sniping in the original GR, which is loads of fun to play and replay. Bit old though. Maybe Gazcoop saw Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter which has been out a couple of months. Haven't tried it yet but I suppose you get to snipe in it too.

    I too am a sniper-game addict.

    Sniper Elite, simply the best sniper game i have ever played. its sniping mechanics are awesome. go see the site and click the lil uk flag in the top right when the site has loaded (unfortunately, its a flash site).

    played for hours on the ps2, and still playing now.
