I found this the other day via google earth: This is cool This is the first example of this concept that i have seen. i always though that this would be a cool project. im sure there is some very complicated coding and remote control going on in there. are there any more cams like this? anyone know of any? linky please.
There are loads and loads of these types of cam. The cams themselves comes with software that controls them, no special coding is needed by the owner.
In fact I think google can actually search for connected webcams and printers (although some do require user/passwords) if you enter a certain string. EDIT: Search google for inurl:"ViewerFrame?Mode="
You guys are like ten years late. I saw one of these years ago. My dad's office had one, I remember him showing me remote controlling it from home.
They are great saftey tools or to check up on stuff if you don't want people in your place touching your stuff, but again, it is old. -aaron
youve got to be kidding me right?.. these things are age old.. and yeah.. there are a couple google hacks that show you how to find them.. theyre pretty funny.. there was one at the enterance of an office building.. you could scare people as they walked by

hmm... my friend had lego mindstorms cam connected to his pc, up and online and it was possible to drive that cam around his room via java applet
