    Hi everyone,

I've done a search here and on google, but only came up w/ Audacity, and after associating the lame encoder w/ it, I still couldn't export properly to MP3 (from an m4a file).

Any other suggestions would be appreciated :)

    CHEERS!

Did you really just want to convert from mp4 to mp3 or do you want to strip the drm off itunes mp4s?

If your mp4 files are drm-free, I like to use dbPowerAmp

    Thanks for ur reply guys.

I only wanted to convert mp4 to mp3, nothing more. I don't even know what drm-free is LOL :)

I orginally tried to rename to mp3 but it didn't work.

I don't have an ipod and loathe ;) Itunes (my mp3 is a Samsung YP-Z5)

try www.dbpoweramp.com its a very good encoder and free, you'll have to download the seperate m4a codec which is availiable from the same site.

I think that the newer version of the program limit it you the number of mp3s you can convert. If your after a version that will, then PM and ill sort you out with it.

    Regards

So hanybanoub did JHymn work? I got a friend looking for this same thing. He wants to convert his protected m4a's too, not to get the drm off, but because he just wants his whole library in mp3 for his new phone that only likes mp3.

It worked very well my friend, excellent program! Doesn't need to be installed either as it's a standalone :)
