    Hey...

Searched the forum and cant find a thread with what im about to ask....

does anyone here know a cheap place for spray cans (except for halfords) as im going to be practice painting, and i want some cheap spray paint to practise with, i dont feel like spraying a £5 can to practise with :p

Even if its just a place with - black, primer, laquer that'll be fine.

    Thanks,
    c_d

Have you tried ebay there might be a bulk load or something that would go for next to nothing - most likely.

Yeh, i dont want a job lot, just somewhere like sub <£3 a can.

Its just for practise, so dont want the cans to be expensive.

Black | Primer | Clear Laquer

Are what im looking for :)

Okay thanks guys, after searching for about 2-3 hours last night, it ends up halfords being cheaper with their 3 for 2 deal. Reason being, most online stores have cheap cans, but the delivery is high going above what halfords would actually cost.

hopefully this thread wont be a waste of time, and will help and uk'er searching for spray paint that halfords is the cheapest store for spray paint.

    but it REALLY isnt

just because theyre 3 for 2 deal is on, you still end up spending alot to get a little

cheapest PLACE in the UK to get spraypaint is trago mills, black/clear laquer/primer @ 1.35 for a large can, compared to the £4+ for that of halfrauds... plus i dislike halfords paint

only time i reccomend buying paint from halfords is if you want to a coloured spray job

the downside of trago is that they dont offer many colours, some places only do black/primer/laquer.

any where is that exactly? If you can point me to the online store where i can order from then that will be great, because im only after - black, primer, laquer.

£1.35 for a can is a great price to practise with. :)

Im sticking my hand up for Halfords, I know it aint cheap but Ive bought cheap paint before for £1 a can from Poundland and it simply isnt up to the job.

The paint runs and the nozzle is extremely bad and leads to "splatter" effect which intails a crap paint job.

The halfords stuff covers evenly has a good nozzle and the finish of the paint is very good for bare Alu case. Also Halfords sell Plasti Kote paints which are well know to be verry good.

I say halfords too. I once had to paint the centre caps on my RS4 Alloys and was quite supprised to see that the paint actualy stayed on for a couple of thousand miles and numerous jet washes, not bad imho. Tis quite expensive though.

Have you tried asking around with your mates?

Chances are someone you know has a few cans cluttering up their garage, I know I have :)

theres a shop that sells spay cans tailored for grafiti in leyton, or atleast they used to when i worked there, i think its about £3 a can but top quality stuff and alot of colours.
dont know if the paint they sell is diffrent to the paint you get in places like halfords but i think it is, anyway the shop is skaters paradise on leyton highroad

for a massive selection of colors (all you could want) graff paint is the way to go; durability wise, well it sticks to walls for time (until it gets buffed by the council)

    anyways:

google: monstercolors, valley of chrome, the layup

all pretty good, bout £2.50 a can, delivery a bit of a pain

Nah my mates wouldnt have any spray cans laying about :/

Yeh delivery is the main price killer, after delivery it makes halfords cheaper by a few quid.

Every time I go into bnq they never have anything like that, must be my b&q because alot of people reccomend bnq for quite alot of stuff (acrylic etc) and mine is either a total rip off or doesnt have it...

Guess i'll have to practise with the halfords paint then, now i just gotta look for a case to do it on :D
