I know you started a few months back Fozzy, but I have not had the time to "surf" the PL's..until tonight.. Yours stands out from the crowd..Let me say Excellent (clean) work and welcome to the LL Vseries family...Your window..very cool.. And the dual-reservoirs in that location...A first..(and I love it).. Keep-it up...
Thanks, I'm looking forward to haveing the money to put down on the pumps : ) Thanks. It's hard to be origional in the VSeries family since so much has been done already. I really am trying to stand out from the crowd if I can. Maybe you could teach me how to airbrush as well. I'm good at etching but this case begs for an airbrushed picture.
Alright so I've been to lazy to post any updates so this is more like 3 updates in one...so get ready. I finally figured out why I didnt get my fan with my case....Newegg gae them the wrong address. So after a quick trip to two different post offices... The box 8 120mm Red LED Fans Haveing some fun More fun A stack of fans Powered up More fun. Surprisingly they are much quieter thanthe 80mm fan in my test PSU! Rear fan installed to test lighting Front fan installed This is the rear fan with the CPU Bracket...and yes I am leaving it on. More planned for that later : ) Through the grill. Front view. This is my first update. If you post before I do there is still another update to follow in about 5 minutes.
Update two: I finished the left side window for the reserviors and I think it looks sick with lights behind it! Drawn up. Scrap Plexi for the rim. All cut out! Test fit. Mesh hammered through. Ready for mounting. Mounted! Now for the beauty shots. Lighted with the blue LED's (May be switched to red but I'm not sure yet. One more update to go.
Finally decided to use an old fan controller (/need it with all of the fans). I dont have the knobs yet but I got it fitted. I may add LED's Later. The controller. The Bay. Drill Template Mounted Installed The other thing I've been working on is the radiator/fan mount Here' is is all cut and ready to be installed on the case but I'll finish that tomorrow. Can anyone guess what I'd be planning with the scrap aluminum/angled aluminum? I bet you cant. What keeps me going untill 5 in the morning every night.
WOW - Love all the lighting you have!!!! Those reserviors are fantastic - is the angled aluminium for the CPU fan bracket? Maybe around the radiator? Anyways, keep 'em coming
I bet that you wont be doing any thing with it. You just wanted to send us on a wild goose chase. P.S. I really like the windows they look sweet and the window for the res's Keep the good work up im really impressed
I read that whole worklog one day. so lets see. Either extending the PSU or lowering something under the chassis maybe your Eheim pump? I forgot to ask the specs. DB CFM and price of those fans they are sweet where di dyou get them?
Nope Nope and Nope. I dont even have an ehiem I have 2 mcp350's Fan Specs: Airflow: 77.26 CFM Noise: 35.48 dB-a Speed: 2000rpm It's a pretty quite fan.
Hmm well then your dual pump brackets? I can't even think make an update stat. I was also looking into BFG NVidia Cards and their 7800 GTX OC was incredible at over $1000 so. I think I will be looking at some of the cheaper models. O well thats my sidetrack this should look really good. Fans are a little on the loud side but for 77.26 CFM you cant complain. Ughh I can't make up my mind to make a case.
They're like 3 bucks a piece on newegg and they come in all colors. Ohh and the 7900gt is better than the 7800gtx and only runs about $200 on ebay. It's probably what I'm getting.
BINGO!! Drive bay stealth it is. I mocked it up and made a few cuts....it's not looking too good but hopefully with some patience it'll turnout alright
After work I decided to finish the radiator mount since I had finished the ring/mount the night before and I really wanted to test out some lighting. Sorry no progress pics this time because I was tired and in a hurry. Installed! More angles Lights out! You can kinda see how the light difracts through the ring. The effect is amazeing in person. You'll just have to trust me. The blue is definately staying as I think it mixe well with the red and i screams HGL. I love how the red is glowing everywhere. It's exactly the effect I wanted and I'm just tickled that it worked. Front Through the window Res's with the lights off. How it looks with the lights on. Well thats it for now. I'm working on the bay stealthing but it's crap right now so it may get ditched. Tell me what you think about the lighting (another three fans to be added in the bottom.)
Utterly Amazing!!!! That final shot is so mmmmmmmmmm!! It's one bright bugger in the dark. The red and blue go with each other!!!
Pretty impressive as this is coming together! are those fans uv reactive? if they are, any plans to incorporate that?
Its pretty much perfect to me. The lights arent to blareing yet they attract all the attention in the room. It'll be nice at a lan party to have a red glow around me while i frag it up on CS:S (Or HGL which is prolly not going to be a frag fest.) Nope but it will be much to bright in the case for it t work anyways. For uv you need to have a very dark case with very bright accents.
