You cant make a gfx cooler out of wood, i was thinking i could do bending/ welding stuff but im not really much on the milling, talk to the guy that runs www.ekwaterblocks.com and i am sure he will work with you as he makes every cooler as the order comes in.
I was contemplating a wooed water block while reading this. Interesting idea. The resovores are trick. That would make a good corner unit.
What is that thats bent over the card? Are they heatpipes? That is what connects the core to the waterblock on the other side, right?
Im in love with this project. Its a fantastic idea. Keep up the good work [edit] do you have a how to or a diagram for your sound2light controller for the tubes? Its something that i am interested in for my media node computer.
got the sound2light diagram from a german modding page... http://www.moddingtech.de/tut_soundtolight_01_de,59.html i didn't pay anything for the riser card...it's one from supermicro... next step is the inside lighting... ...with 2 uv ccfl's...
ahhhhhhhhhh german, my only weakness... luckily google page translations to the rescue! That sound2light schematic looks very nice, thanks for the link. And those ccfl holders are nice to. Are you acually going to be able to see inside the case? Whats the view going to be of, the mobo is under a layer of mdf... I guess all the W/C stuff...
wow now i understand what you were trying to do those pictures are much clearer thanks and keep up the great work, really like your idea
did you thought about removing the heat-sink of the GPU, the way i see it only heats up phaseplane, so now the phaseplane has to cool the GPU and heat-sink then again i could be wrong(so please in enlighten me)
this is looking awesom, i dont belive i havent come across this thread before. oh well im glad i did. More Pics and Updates
very cool and professional lookin mod hope to see more of your work in the future on here especially like the reservoirs & lighting, well thought out with results to match. Good work
