This is my shiny new 150Gb Raptor w/ 16Mb cache. nForce 4 SATA controller, SATAI of course. This is one of my 320Gb Seagate 7200.10s. This ones set to SATA150 as I couldn't find any tweesers to get the silly jumper out to set it to SATA300, I'll try and get the jumper out soon and do another test.
Just managed to knock this one out and mister_tad though I might wanna post it around here somewhere ... was kinda a half-arsed effort tho, may try and improve it later.
Its an Areca ARC-1220 with 5x Maxtor DM10 in RAID5 if anyone is wondering Gives a score of 61 - the access time seems on the high side, may be worth looking in to (or may be worth me looking in to ) run it a few times, may have been a blip during the test. If that doesn't give you anything different then try a different firmware and see how that goes EDIT: and since I can't be letting you have all the fun... 6x 250GB Samsung Spinpoint P120 in RAID5 on an Areca ARC-1220 giving a overall mark of 74.1
Here you go: I'll give more information on specs tomorrow, but it's an internal scsi on our superphat mssql server. I did pretty good on random access......
2x250GB Seagate (7200.8+7200.10) Nforce4 Raid0 (Average read + burst read) / Access time = Score (110.5 + 238.5) / 14.3 = 24.405 'tis about time i got some raid goodness going
You just know you want to span that over to another 1231, or swap it out for a 1680. Go on, do it! I'm going to miss my Areca (when it finally sells that it)
