Project P160 Blue Water

    I want to do an intricate system of rads I think maybe 3 3 fans maybe 2 parralleled in the system with 2 Ehiem 1046 mod. pumps.

    That system is flawed but it would be cool.

    Hi all
    Just an up date on what i did today. it was not much but it took me most of the day to complete but with a little bit of braso and the polishing bit for my dremel :dremel: I got it prity shiny yay :clap:

    I would be careful using a dremel for a water block I have used a polishing compound with a dremel and ground down about 1/64th of an inch off a steel knife so you could easily create unevenness.

    I agree, you should get peices of sandpaper and get an extremely flat surface (like a glass panel) and work from 1000 grit to around 3000 or something. That will create the most even contact surface to get the most contact with the cpu.

    somone made a small guide somewhere how to do the blocks, but it basically said that you should put the sandpaper on a block of MDF, you have to have a flat surface for the sandpaper

    Im happy how it is and i found that as long as i kept teh dremal moving it did not leave any dents/uneveness

    Paint & Case Update 20/07/06

    Hi all Just a small up date today.
    Today I finished riveting my case together :clap: and so i dicided to give it a wash and wax

    I have also marked out ready for the jig saw some sheet aluminum which will be the new front to the case (it will sit behind the res)

    I went shopping to B&Q at Lunch and go me some L and Some Square U sections so that i can build a devise to hold 2 pumps

    Don't forget to put the memory in 2 of the same colored slots so it runs in dual channel!

    NO! I forgot to dry my case before I took the photos so there is a wet patch :duh:

    That looks odd tho.. did they do something wrong with the manual for that rev or something?

    Thank you I will change the memory over tonight as well as putting some photoes of what arrived in the post this morning and also some Tensol 70.

    Very nice mate, good luck with the mod. The black interior of the p160 looks badass IMO, very nice indeed. Keep up the work on that front panel, look forward to seeing what it looks like finished!
