My Father in law is a huge fan of chevy who worked at a chevy dealership for over 20 years. Right now they have 500MHz beast running Win98, so I think they need an upgrade. The computer I'm gonna build will be chevy themed. Check out my concept pics and tell me what you think.
Nice design/ colors but why the **** does everything have a ****ing hemi??? Gone are the days when a hemi meant something. My moped has a hemi....
Actually they are making everythign with hemi's now small bore gas engines. Seriously a hemi moped. BTW hemis hardly do jack **** for an engine really. But the case is pretty ok.
What does a Hemisphere head design have to do with Chevy? Hemi is a Dodge creation. The case seems like a pretty straightforward mid tower design. I like the bold blue with whitre stripes, seems very late 60's Camaro to me, which is a very good thing. I'm not sure how I like the side stripes, where would they meet up with the front? Same with the one thick line only on the top, not along the front?
I didn't know about the whole Hemi thing. I was thinking of some model name or best year going there, but I don't know his favorite yet. How about hugging the blowhole? |........| |........| |/.().\|
Instead of a boring, plain "Hemi" window, how about getting a little tyre from a hardware store or a cheap plastic kid's trike, cutting the side of the tyre off, and using that as a frame for a circular window? You could even grab a plastic plate or something to cut into a cool rim shape, and spray it silver before gluing it over the window. Or if you really want to have etching, the rim pattern could be the etch. And then, if you don't think that it's too much, maybe you could add some tasty flames painted on the case to look like they're coming from the tyre? Nezuji
I didn't know. Anyway I've been looking at maybe going to the 69 Chevy Camaro theme. Same paint job and logos.
Chrysler specificaly Nice design. But if your going for a car theme than why stick with a simple box? You could easily mod it into a model chevy, or if thats a bit adventerous then what about shaping the box rather than simply painting it? You could even have a look at some of the computers modded into alloy wheels.
Here's more. I want to get the actual logos off ebay probably to match these. And I do like the 69 Chevy Camaro SS 427 the best.
I prefer the '68. The badges would be a cool touch. You could also get some steel braided line off ebay to cover all the wires and give it a nice engine bay touch.
I've done some searches on the 1969 Camaro 427. Some have that hockey stick striping along the side and not the stripes on the hood. Is there another way to refer to the 69 camaro when speaking specifically about the one with the stripes on the hood? And WTF is Yenko?
Way back when Chevy had a 6.6 liter engine limit on it's cars while Ford and Plymouth didn't. The Camaro was less powerful then the competition (Mainly Mustangs and Cuda's) until Yenko squeezed around the 6.6L rule and got some serious power into the Camaro, putting it back on top with the big dogs of the day. *The more you know!* lol
O.K. you're gonna love this.... I was waaaaaaaay wrong! He worked at a Dodge Dealership and sold Mopars! I'll have to rethink this again... idiot.
