Hi guys, On the back of my Head Unit it states that it has a sub-out connection. Now i know all about the pre-outs (RCA) connections, but just wondered if anyone could tell me what the sub-out is for etc? The model is a Sony CDX-6750. Cheers BFISH
Sub-out is just that.. the Sub out connection... Connect a powered subwoofer to it.. note the Powered part.. it's pre-amp.
It's no different to the other pre-outs (F+R) really. It gives you an extra level of control at the head-unit sometimes, is there a sub level setting? Also it won't fade from front to back on that channel
Like others have said, its just another pre-amp RCA output that gives the control for sub level, imo its just another gimmic if you see what i mean, no need for it, all adjusting can be done at the amp. Could be usefull if you want to reduce bass though save rooting in the boot (or where ever the amp is)
for the sub out the signal will just be the lower frequncy for the bass out? hense what its required for. coupled with the extra conrol youll gt if you got it use it,
That does make sense now i suppose. Just there will be an amp and a dual sub setup. Just not seeing any subs or amps than connect directly to the sub oout cable.
