News Vista has been hacked

Most people who are finding exploits are probably already running up a rack of malicious code and saving it for when Vista hits the streets so they can infect as many new Dell machines as possible.

 

Better find the holes now rather than when it's in everyone's homes. Could be viewed as good marketing by advertising that they're working to protect users.

Wait a few months to see what happens

 

Finding security holes is never good marketing. We may understand that they will be fixed (hopefully ) but the general public just get the message that "Vista has security problems". In this case a negative result is not good news, just no news.
