Notebooks Best laptop for £300-400? Help!

Girlfriends after a Laptop, I've never really develed into the world of laptops and notebooks so i was hoping for some recommendations from you guys here at Bit.

She's looking to spend £300-400 quid, so basically I want the most bang for buck for that kinda cash, open to suggestions.

After much looking around for my self mate, most laptops in that price bracket are pretty much the same normally

Celeron 1.4-1.5Ghz
256Mb Ram
DVD+-RW
Build int Gfx
14-15" 4:3 Screen

So you might as well go for the cheapest possible id say.

I think your best bet for laptops in that sorta price range, would be to have a look on sites like the Laptop Shop and Laptops Direct

I got a Toshiba A100 for £379 off dabs.com. Boots up fast, and does the trick for college work and some games
