I've always had trouble understanding how russians, british and others abreviate names where the original does not look or sound close to the abreviation. Where did it come from?
A couple more I've just remembered; There's a family in my town who's kids are called Billy, Bobby, Elka and Toke. Used to know a bloke called Levi.
That would be the satanic version of Natasha Storm is actually a pretty good name. Pretty unusual, though.
I know an Astra, Mercedes, Portia and a Nova and my cousin's married to Richard Head god what do these peopel think about when naming kids
1066 and all that. And so leading by various interpretations of the spoken word to Richardson, Rickson, Dickenson, Dixon, etc.
I absolutely hate 'Richard' as the 'ard' gets pronounced as 'ud' and that is just vile. Richud Plus people sometimes say and spell it with a T for reasons unknown to me. Ritchard/Ritchud. What the hell is that about? 'Rich' is fine though and I intend to drop the 'ard' properly
I had a Dave Matthews living down the street. Go figure. Thankfully, nobody can make too much out of Eric Stern. I'll get the 'related to Howard?' on occasion (no), the only actually annoying part is that most people automatically write that as Stearns. Though I've gotta say, I've contemplated legally changing my middle name to Firehed.
my sister in-law's real name is Tuesday Stormi Couturier, brother in-law is Tim Smokye Couturier Went to school with a last name of Webb... No joke, his legal name was Spider, and his brother was Cob, and their older sister was Charlotte. Known 2 jack frosts. not related, I know 2 guys named Stacey, and a woman named Michael. bad enough my last name sounds like something you cough up and spit out when you're sick...
I hate the name Junior! IMO not really a name more a Nick. My name (Sebastian) is so common its not even funny anymore. I`ve been in school with 7 other Sebastian`s so far and i know dozents.
I used to know of a girl called Tessa who got married to a Mr Tickle Straight up. The worst part is that before she got married, she used to contract her first name to Tess... My brother used to go to school with a Paul Daniels.
The name is not common outside of germany, but in the year i am born it was no. 3 on the namelist. P.S. I like the name couse it comes from greek and means "Adorable" or "Venerable"
How do you cope with a 4 syllable name? I actually find it really hard to say my own full name at any reasonable speed without sounding retarded.
