how to WTX-mod in less than three minutes:

GPU fan NEVER ramped up after the "mod"; GPU's whiny fan was dynamically scaling to load, it was very irritating. Not any more!

Of course, this is irrelevant to people who want to make an art out of WTX-modding a case...

oi, if we just flip the bugger ov'r it becomes btx, crikey.

in other news, flipping my shuttle upside down only makes it look funny, while making the heatpipes work a little less good. He at least tried to modify the case though, seems to turn out pretty good, what about painting a motherboard?

I like the stone better. The blue looked like every other blue case I've seen.

I have something new to report. Someone from my local area has seen this mod and wants to buy it. From this point on I WILL complete the Mod, but to the customers specifications. He said he does want a blow hole, but the window design he's still considering. I'll see him soon to plot where the mod is headed.

OK, the customer wants a wolverine based theme from the 2nd X-Men movie. He wants the case to look like it could have been from that abandoned military base in Canada called Alkali Lake. It needs to have a lot of dirty snow and blood. I added some "blood" to the case, but I have no idea as to where to go from here and how to incorporate wolverine into the theme. The PSU will go. It will be decorated with RED Lighting

Maybe Wolverine claw windows? What about the front bezel? What do you think?

How about on the right side (mobo side) have holes cut as if slashed by Wolverine?
Mayby this for the front bezel.
And for a window, do an x window. Around the edges sand the plexi about 2 cm.

My buddy and myself have been trying to plan out a "Werewolf: The Apocalypse" themed case for awhile now. Planning to use the same kind of claw marks like the ones on on the front of the Whitewolf books. Haven't decided whether to put them in as the window looking into the case, or on the backside of the mobo with lighting behind them. Think that would be sweeter. Can't wait to see how yours urn out! Anyways, like the idea and hope that it inspires us a bit!

I used some filler for the holes and cracks.

Then Bondo'd, but I still need to sand it flat.

I actually got them at Directron. Anyway, the buyer likes where the case is going, but is shying away from the X-Men and Wolverine. He asked me make a small piece of aluminum black with the rock paint and liked it, so that's where I'm going.

I hope that the buyer has his mind made up for sure now, before you get too far along. Sometimes once you go to a certain extent to portray a theme, there is no turning back or changing your mind (without extreme reworking, not to mention the waste of time. :wallbash: ) . Oh well, at least you hadn't gotten too far into it yet. So what now, just gonna kinda color coordinate with the black/white rocky look? No specific "theme" specifically speaking? ...lol Looks good, kinda like granite countertop or something. You gonna end up clear coating, or would that ruin the "rocky" look?

you made the front intake holes so rough on purpose or does it only looks so cause of the lighting?

    On purpose...

I think a clear coat will ruin it, but I will experiment.

    Here's the left panel.

Why do you need to see the back of the motherboard?

Because the case is for a customer who wants to see it. I thing it'll look dumb, but it ain't mine.

    I put the panel on

The PC is being made for a buyer who requested the holes. I think they're goofy too.
