    Hi,

About a half a year ago I remeber reading someone on this forums guide as he modded/watercooled his Yeound black cube case.

He done a really detailed guide to everything he done.

Can anyone shed any light on who it was? Ive searched and searched but no luck.

    Mickey

No mate, but thanks for trying to help.

Ive remembered it was a log of events by Pookyhead.

He done a watercooling (and general all round) Mod on a YY black cube and it looked stunning.

I cant for the life of me find his diary of events detailing each step of the way.

Anyone know where this thread/event diary is?

Ive PMd Pooky but no reply as yet.

Members list (above) is barred by admin.

Is there another way I can search for his user name?
Also, searching for YY cube and pookyhead reveils nothing, even on google.

Beleive me Ive tried everything I could think of before posting

    Look here.

It was found using the forum search 'pookeyhead' then clicking on a thread, scrolling down to his post, viewing his profile from the link, then searching for all threads started by him.

Link not working for me but thanks for your efforts.

Gonna follow what you did so fingers X'ed

EDIT Jeeez - theres a ton of posts by him. Im not even sure what the thread was called either. It could be half of them.

I would of thought searching on Pookyhead and cube would of pulled it straight out??

I've got a watercooled YY, but never posted a guide or log or anything of the sort, just a pics thread (I don't think so anyway). MDK has a watercooled YY, or did at one point. Ive seen pics of bindi's YY case around the forums but I don't think he is on water. Morphine had a Watercooled black YY and i think he may have posted a log, he may be the one you're after.

    I don't recall Pookey having a YY, he's always been a lian-li fanboy afaik

    Cheers Mr Tad.

If is sheds any light on it this guide started with the case been sprayed a more shiney black inside and out.
He inserted pink LEDs into the clear water blocks
It was a very extensive and informative guide.

The reason I think it was Pooky is because I PM'd him to say what a good job and traced the old PM.

Ive since PM'd him but no reply. He may well be on his summer Hols.

Anyhow, whats your overall feel of the YY cube. I think there great for modding.

I think the're ideal for modding, but you really do need to mod them to get the most out of them. They're not so great if you don't want to get your hands dirty. And the steel is a real pain to cut, but its all worth it in the end :)

I'd love to start a new project as my cube is all modded out and theres nothing else for me to do, but I would miss it too much

I concur - the airflow isn't great in my stock Yeong Yang, so it's currently undergoing some serious modding to accomodate plenty of 7v fans.

Mister_Tad - got a link to pics of your cube?

    Thats a Lian-Li PC71 dude

I don't think I've got any hosted atm, but google and you will find a few hanging about no doubt. I did post a pics thread just after put water in it, but that was early/mid 2004 so chances are they have disappeared now. I can take some pics if you like? :)

Definately, as I've been looking through many YY pics to get inspiration for finishing off mine. No doubt Mickey would be interested in them too.

CollinstheClown & MidnghtDrgn and everyone who has helped search for the mythical YY cube mod

Your right and Im totally wrong!!!!!!!!!!

It is project monolith im refering to in my head.
On looking in greater detail at the monolith log I remember things like when Pooky says "black ice radiator anyone" etc.
The pics Midnight refere to are exactly the ones I mean too with the pink LED in the clear blocks etc.

I think I must have thought, hey - that mod pookeys doing would look superrb in a YY cube.

Over the months (saving for all the WC equipment) I must have mixed the two up in my minds eye.

Sorry to anyone that has helped search for the modded cube page :eeek: It doesnt even exsist :duh: :duh: :jawdrop:

Sorry fellas, but at least I have my blue print to build on at last so this thread has been nothing but a huge success to me :thumb:

    Lazylow & Mr tad

Damn right Id be interested. Sounds like alot of us would be- get them up there mr tad, show off your hard work, what you waiting for :thumb:

    Thanks everyone
