Every time I try to install windows on my new pc it gets to the stage where it says that its checking my hardware configuration and then restarts. I've tried unplugging all unneccessary parts, tried a new hard drive and all to no avail. Help!

Sounds like either a CD problem or a Optical Drive problem to me.

    (Ps its: "Windows doesn't work")

This sounds very much like the PSU isn't up to scratch, and upon probing the hardware, its stressing out.

Alternativley, the clue could be in the "checking the hardware config" and there could be a device or card that is causing it. Try installing with NOTHING but a single hdd, single optical, single stick of ram, and NO pci/usb devices plugged in.
