Hopefully the lack of ability to speak clearly is just a broken jaw and not a sign of his brain damage.

Nice rant, but playing Pro Evo is dangerous in itself, all of those millions of risky thumb movements. It would be better to sit there and watch one of the endless stream of self-improvement programmes, so they can watch people who (apparently) need to lose weight, gain weight, eat healthier, do exercise, stop smoking, clean their house better, divorce in a more peaceful way, bring up their children better... blah...

Just thought it was worth adding to your rant that no one is allowed to look after themselves anymore, we need specialists in every field to point out every little flaw, otherwise we won't all be perfect.

Next week on Channel 4, "Aryan School", where a number of couples learn the best ways to make sure their future children will have blonde hair and blue eyes.

Phew, he is now fine! Thank you Hammond for being OK. He can now function normaly and stuff. I don't think he has had any permenent brain damage TBH, I think he will recover. May spoke with him today!

Hope Hamster makes a full recovery, one of the most entertaining presenters on TV for years!!
I'm also hoping that the BBC doesn't bow to the pressure and axe Top Gear - Transport 2000 action group will be on their little soap-boxes again.

We must all chip in our little bit in wishing Hamster and his family the best for the future, and also make damned sure that Top Gear stays on air - for Hamsters sake too.

    Best wishes to the Hamster!!!!

^-- Just heard that on the radio about 30 seconds ago. Im pretty stoaked that he seems to be alright. Apparently he suddenly sat up in bed, asked clarkson what on earth happened then decided to walk to the loo.

    You mean these steps? :D

The nurses tend to get grumpy with patients who do that, unless he's doing really well! :thumb:

Well I think he may have had help with it, but considering the amount of damage his brain could have taken its a very good sign.

VERY very very good :D He's a fighter thats for sure.

we just need to make sure that old auntie dosent axe TopGear. It would be an insult to Hammond if they did.

I can't help saying this, and I am not offending him, I really like him, but that is really funny, how someone can suddenly say, What happened? I need a pee. and just walk off. :jawdrop:   :D

I think everyone here should have a night in this weekend and donate the proceeds to the Air Ambulance appeal (linked above, but that number again http://www.justgiving.com/PHRichardHammond )

Aside from the TV License, we pay nothing to enjoy Top Gear. I don't know about you, but I personally don't do any charity work, or sponsor a child, or donate to UNICEF etc on any regular basis.

As a result, when stuff like this pops up, I go out of my way to do the right thing. I'm not going to miss £20, and the Just Giving makes it SO easy to donate. The taxman even chips in a fiver.

So how about it lads - I've paid my Hamster Tax - have you?
