Just changed teams! 1000 points should be on their way in 5 hours.

Not much mention of PS3 folding, SMP client or GPU folding. With 30,000 members with some awesome hardware bit-tech should be kicking arse. I'll be posting guides for setting up loads of different clients and such. We need more folders!

Right I'm going to post a few hints and tips now, I'm on my Mac so I'm going to go crazy with this keyboard.

    Linux 64bit and SMP
If you've got a 64bit version of Linux and dual cores use the Linux SMP client and set adv methods. You'll see around 1000ppd.

    PS3
I think you can get around 900-1000ppd on the PS3. They churn through units like nothing else.

    SMP Windows Client
I'll post a detailed description of how to set-up 2 command line clients for dual-cores, but the easiest way is to use the SMP client if you have 2 or more high performance cores. Intel C2Ds at 3Ghz can get 1800ppd. Slower machines cannot pass the strict deadlines for this Beta client though.

    Do i want "Windows XP/Vista
    GPU client GUI version"
    or
    "Windows 2000/XP/Vista
    SMP client console version
    ?

    No, here's how it goes.

If you have a dual core machine with a ATI card capable of folding run one GPU client and one regular client. It needs one core to sort things out between the CPU and GPU. You need a graphics card with 512Mb RAM to fold comfortably. So dl the GPU version and one regular console client.

    Do this help?
