Oooooh yeah that game kicked ass. I got such a shock when I reinstalled it a couple years ago though: "what the hell are these coloured blocks? I remember tanks, dammit!"

This thread has given me so much to download :D

[edit] Oops, total thread necro, my bad :worried:

I can't believe only 1 person has mentioned the old Sierra adventure games.

    Monkey Island series
    King's Quest series
    Space Quest series
    Police Quest series

Seriously some of the best storytelling I've ever seen (apart from the FF series, but I won't get into that :D ) I used to love old adventure games. To bad that style of game has pretty much went the way of the dodo. The Syberia 1-2 games were absolutely brilliant though :D

If you can get your hands on a copy of Freespace 2, then you have to get the Babyloln 5 mod

Failing that there's the B5: I've Found her standalone freeware game.

    Ones that I can suggest:
    Star Wars: Dark Forces
    CounterStrike
    Episode 1 Pod-racer(actually really fun)
Any of the old Command and Conquer games(the original, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun)
Unreal Tournament Game of the Year
Half-Life and the expansions on it

That's all I can think of right now...ahh...the memories...

Screamer 2 was a great game.

Still got a soft spot for, and indeed still play Quake 1

A-Train (the old Amiga port) is one of my all time favourite games.

Talking of AMiga games.... Alien Breed 3D!!

My two old favourites were Carrier Command - think was on my old Atari STFM and Syndicate (think now rebadged as Syndicate Wars).
