Vacuum Florescent Display. Under the glass is a vacuum and the filaments glow :)

    FAO: Kna

Yo Kna, was speaking to Henry and he says you are da man to speak to about LCD filters. Where in the uk can I pick up a filter which will turn my white backlight / blue text LK204-PC MO display so that it is blue backlight with either white / black text

    Cheers bud

Is it true that if i flip the polaroid filter on my cell-phone around, I'll get bright text on a dark background? If so has anyone done such a thing?

you may find your phone doesn't have a filter but maybe you could put one in it

The phone will have a filter, without it the display would be blank.

You don't flip the filter, you turn it round. Typically through 90 degrees. It may be possible to do it depending on the shape of the display. ie. square.
