Anybody here pre-ordered or going to pre-order the game? Personally, I've played the demos and I think the game looks great, and will be pre-ordering it tomorrow at Gamestation to get that special token to unlock an extra multiplayer map.
I thought the Single player demo was one of the best games I've played so far. Haven't had enough space to d/l the multiplayer demo yet though. I'll probably pick it up at some point just after release.
Meh, Gears of War is a great game, but still way overrated me thinks. Playing it is a blast, but is let down by the reason you're playing it in the first place: it's got a good idea for a plot, but the storyline isn't quite up to scratch and has a way too predictable ending. Plus it has the script of a porn film, LOL.
i have played the demo for lost plante for ages ever since it came out. i just cant get enough of the game, gonna try the multiplayer one out too soon. for me its a much better premise for a game than gow, plus if we want to go down the graphics route the rendering of snow is incredible
I had a go at the new multiplayer demo today.... not really feeling the vibe of the game at all. Though it is fun to jump around and stuff and use the mechs. Probably just need to get used to the controls a bit.
The demo is cool, the controls did seem clunky to begin with but I think they are the controls that will grow on you. I did really enjoy taking off the mechs arms and carrying those around, HUUGGGEEEE Shotguns! And the grapple hook jumping thing was cool. The multi player footage looks crazy too. All in all I'm not gonna miss this one! Then Assassins Creed, then Crackdown!
Where the heck is the Multiplayer demo? Is it out yet? I played the original Demo almost as much as my earyl 360 games haha. I thought it was awesome.
It's a shooter from the 3rd person perspective. And the demo is really fun to play. Especially when I get to the walker unit haha. I just get carried away though killing so many of the bugs at a time with my machine gun.
It's essentially a "standard" third person shooter, with a unique setting and some great looking mechs. It's kind of a follow up to a game called Monster Hunter, but with guns (people who've play it will understand ). The story looks a bit more interesting than say, GoW except the lead character's called Wayne!!! It's a very arcadey experience, and purposely not realistic, just fun, lots of explosions, if you've got Live there are two demos on there now, including an online deathmatch, but when I went on today there were precisely two players on it, including me!
Omg, I played the demo, it's wicked awesome. I *** the grappling hook, so useful. Gameplay is kinda awkward at first, but I caught on fast and got 3rd out of 7 for my first game. The mech suits are so fun too. Edit: why does < 3 with no space get bleeped out?
