My mouse will not work if USB is enabled in the bios, but disabling it makes it work. The problem is that I need USB for other purposes. ASRock DualSATA2 (Latest BIOS) 1GB Corsair 6600GT Logitech MX510
Well, It plugged it in my USB with the controller enabled. Funny how it acts like it recieves no power when its in XP. It doesn't even move.
Why don't you try following what people have said in the thread rather than needlessly bumping? Try getting a PS/2 to USB convertor from eBay.
Yeap, just did, same thing I disabled the USB during installation, and reenabled it after so Windows can install its own drivers, not using the crappy one my mobo provides.
Surely that was a bad idea? The latest nVidia drivers are the best thing to install for this kind of thing.
I'll second the vote for MB drivers. ONLY IF that fails: Go into the BIOS and run USB 1 only, do the ports work then?
Well, from many forums I've read about the ULI Usb drivers is that they greatly affect performance. I'll try that in a few.
Alright, narrowed it down to the drivers! ULI doesn't have any USB drivers for XP since SP2 has USB2.0 Support already. I let windows install its own default drivers, no workie. Tried the ALi one, was in the compatability list during picking out the drivers. No workie. Now trying to find the damn drivers -_-.
