    Hi,

I'm trying to O/C my 7950GX2, I have installed coolbits and have set the clocks to 550/1300 for now, this has been tested and applied. however it gives me no effect whatsoever in 3dmark06. The card itself is watercooled so cooling isn't an issue.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    The specs are as follows
    AM2 4600+
    Asus M2N32WS Pro
    2Gb PC6400
    Gainward 7950GX2
    Asus AX300 (For second monitor)

well youve basically got the exact same pc as me, overclocking wont give any noticable difference in 3dmark06 unless you have evrything in nvidia control panel set to the complete minimum. whats the stock settings for your card? mine are 570/1550, and i have them set to 600/1750 and i get about 200 points extra in each test

You're both pretty CPU limited which is probably why you're not seeing much of an increase.
Could also be that you're overclocking the cards a little bit too far, which is leading to the scores trailing off a little.

I've OC'd the 4600 to 220Mhz, I've also just tried installing rivatuner, and the clock speeds are definately changing, but they change back to defaults between and after tests, is this normal?

    Stock speeds are 500/1200

It switches between 3D and 2D clock speeds. It should only apply to core speeds though (afaik). :thumb:
