About 70GB. About half are MP3 and the rest are OGG (a few are duplicates). My sons prefer OGG, while I'm partial to MP3. I'm not an audiophile so I don't care very much about quality and prefer compilations to play while driving.

12gb. Not bad considered I started from scratch just over a year ago, and I didn't have a massive back catalogue of CDs to rip to it either.

Ok, I started this thread, and I'm amazed to see the ammount of response.. and the ammount of music some people have on their HDD! I'm now ripping all my CDs in a vein attempt to increase my feeble 5.31Gb. and all at 192kbps. Borrowing CD's left, right and center, but only good music. :p Its actually getting me motivated to increase my music collection, and I'm really proud of most of it, its all pretty decent stuff, old and new.

Well I'm on 6.25gb, hopefully 7 before I go to bed, but need to get rid of an est.0.5gb, junk that I will never listen too.. Anyway, keep the music playing!!

Now somone has to go through the thread adding all the figures up to deduce how much total music bit-tech members own.

Congrats bit tech users, for together, we have managed to compile over 10Tb of tunes, jingles and the like.

Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go watch paint dry...

Ah, now the REAL challenge, is to find out how many different songs there are collectively.

Start posting your lists people! :D

uh... maybe we'd be better off posting it in some kind of XLS file form, so the result could be achieved with some use of excel's text functions?
I couldn't be assed to do that tho

73.2GB used on music drive, less 3.91gb CD image, less 22gb virtual machines, less 12.3gb C drive backup
Uh according to my maths thats ~35GB all at Uber Standard (5360 tracks FYI)

Although i have 34.1GB of recorded TV (dvr-ms format) and 75.9GB in xvid so you can probably tell i prefer TV :p

Although, personally i prefer my 180GB of CD images (80.8 backups of my PC games, 72.3GB of PS2 games, 4.12 of PSX games and the other 23.1GB is of software i use very often)(i just wish they allowed you to rip discs for your own backup easily, why shouldn't i be allowed to)

22Gb in 192kbps MP3 but the plan is to re rip everything to FLAC so I'm probably looking at about 200Gb when I do that (along with all the other CD's that arn't ripped yet..

With a total of 10.29TB, own perhaps is not going to be a very accurate term.
