That would be an absolutely fantastic job. One which I would love if it weren't for the fact lots of international travel could well put quite a strain on my existing relationship.
I wish everyone that applies the best of luck :)

What's the deadline for submission of CVs and covering letters?

I'm on a tight deadline at work each week and it would be good to know how much time I've got to put it all together.

There's no deadline, as such - the deadline runs out when we find the right person. :)

righty ho, so im guessing a 15 year old boy at boarding school isn't wanted...

also, im not sure where in Ascot you guy's are, but i used to go to school @ Papplewick off on the far side of the race-corse....

International isn't that much, mostly national, and even then most of the time is spent in the office. Ascot isn't that far from Pompy either.

Absolutely, there's a selection of events every year that require time abroad, but for the most part, you'll be working out of Ascot. IIRC, Portsmouth is about 50-60 miles from Ascot.

I know this might differ from the topic a little, but I don't suppose you would be open to placement work for 2008/2009?

I have a placement year in my third year on my Computer and Network Engineering Course and I am planning some good options now.

I could move to berkshire and international travel is not a problem.

You are quite right Tim, a quick google map estimates 60 miles (at least an hour + Hindhead/Liphook is a royal pain in the rear). Just like the game reviewer position that was going, it's most likely something that I can only dream of. After being out of the hardware circuit on a personal purchase level for nearly a year or so, I would be a tad on the side of rusty :p
