And after all the talk people gave about not shooting snow for Winter... :p

Pretty interesting shot. I like the mist; I think it helps create a cold atmosphere. It's a little hard to tell from the image size, but the mist almost looks unreal. Is it really part of the photo?

Is this an entry for this month's comp, because it is, your date's wrong in the thread title. It's meant to be of format [MM/YY] for archival purposes. :)

As for the shot, I was a little unsure as to what it was to start with. I guess you've used flash, but maybe flash with a long exposure to bring out more of the tree would work better as it's currently quite a dark background so just looks like sploges on black. :hip:

Doesn't really jump out much to me.
You have to really look around to see whats there. (obviously apart from the snow)

    Not really working for me!

personally i like that it is unclear and that the mist and snow jump out but hey, i'm liking the ambiguous right now and i like how interactive the shot is because you have to look around so much to see what it is.

    nevermind

yeh i had no choice about the long exposures, the weather was too cold and i dont have a dslr on hand, i have to borrow them from school, and i didnt know it was going to snow, alas no decent camera :(

yes it is, the flash highlights it more making it look unreal
