    I want to know somwthing....::

    Is it easierto polish an entire v-1000, or to get it cromed, or powder-coated silver ect. ????

    or, can someone give me a good idea of a fairly large aluminium case that i can polish up...

    you can polish the entire case, but you have to strip the anodizing first..

    also, to have it chromed it pretty much needs to be polished anyway. it is a plating process, all the scratches get plated too. polishing would take a long ass time, but it would look so completely cool. i might have to do that to a case.

    hmm ive considered this, but polished aluminum that is not done correctly looks really tacky. Best thing to do would be to roughen the surface up with sand paper then have it plated ( it does not need to be polished to be chromed)

    any reasons for doing this ?

    also first post in over a year.. im back bit-tech :D

    Why not? Paul has the balls to do it on a wavemaster.

    I'm in the process of doing it to a PC-60. Set aside LOTS of time. Get power tools. Wear a dust mask.

    polishing costs far less. And you can say you did it yourself.

    ^^lol^^

    Im somewhere in the same dilemma, see my log for specifics. Can you do the standard 250-1200 grit sandpaper then buffer? How does paint take to scratches; can enamel fill them?
