Seems kind of wasteful. Some poor third-worlder could get a good meal out of that. :sigh:

So? Think about the amount of electricty your wasting on a powerful PC, a third world person could really use that.

The third world argument is so stupid

Not so. I can think of plenty of charities, or struggling students or even schools on the estates who could do with a basic, but functional PC. There are schools in developing countries which could have used it.

Heck, it could have bolstered the Wifi network in Tibet, which has been set up by volunteers from old, defunct PC parts to allow villages there to stay in touch with the free world.

All my old PCs have found new homes. Remember, that piece of old junk once served you well, and someone more modest would still be grateful to have it.

**Nexxo I do understand what you mean, but surely one PC worth of fun isn't going to hurt anyone..**

It isn't going to help anyone either.

Look, he can do what he wants with his PC, of course. And you can share the joke if you want. Just don't expect everyone else to laugh as well.

2bh, A 2gig celeron, would be a nice machine, for any student, would run everything that is needed, along with all the media like music and films most of us students spend more time watching than working.

A really old machine, and I could see the funny side, but hell I would have paid for postage, as I know a lot of people that would of made a big diffrence to.

Ever tried trying to work on a 400mhz celeron useing a borland C++ compiler, Photoshop, and a media player?

Some of my friends, have to. Which makes it all the worse when you pull out your 17inch laptop daily, and you can see the jealousy.

    meh Nexxo has a point.

Im kinda going along with nexxo on this one, however, i have a bone to pick, do you not watch Top Gear or Brainiac Science Abuse? because they destroy caravans, which could be turned into little houses.

Its all a litte bit of fun, and i would do the same thing with a dell, get some thermite and burn it :thumb:

I guess the phrase 'Beggars can't be choosers' come in to this case.

If you live in a cardboard box, and someone offers you a caravan, you arn't going to say no. However, im sure you would like to....
