i finally got myself a macbook!

    went for the white one...
    2GB 667 DDR2 - 2x1GB SO-DIMMs
    120GB Serial ATA drive (5400rpm)
    2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Absolutely love it!!! Now i am wanting to get the creative suite (photoshop, illustrator etc) but does anybody know somewhere that is slightly cheaper than £829? Not a student at the minute - on a gap year so will be in september - is it worth waiting until then?

    thanks :)

It's worth waiting regardless of price - CS3 is due out later this year (I think...), and runs about five times faster than CS2 does on the Intel machines, not to mention some great new features.

Anyways, welcome to the club, and enjoy that machine :)

Yes, don't buy CS2 - it's not good on intel.

hey congrats on the macbook, have you used macs before or is it your first delve into apple?
glad to see you didn't go for the black model (dont get fooled into thinking you pay for quality witht the black macbook!)

It's only available to people with a valid CS2 license.

Well, I use the term "valid" very loosely :worried:, but if you're going to buy a copy of CS3 when it comes out (versus buying CS2 now and then paying another $150-200 or so to upgrade it), I wouldn't be overly concerned about using a somewhat questionable method to hold you over.

Iirc, they offer a two day trial to anyone. You can use certain 'methods' to make the trial last forever. Not that I would condone such a thing...

Just register on the site, you don't need a key but the trial is limited.
