Another two screw person here. More than that's just a hassle - you can probably get away with 1 pretty safely to be honest. None at all is fine(I've done that a fair bit) if you're not moving the case around.

DUDE YOUR HARD DRIVE WILL IMPLODE IF YOU USE 3 SCREW!!!!! THE LESSER POSITIVE FORCE OF THE OTHER SCREW WILL WEAKEN THE STRUCTURE AND MAKE IT VULNERABLE TO HAXORS!!!!!!!

sorry i could not resist this :p
your hard drive will be ok.

    edit: 01-10-2006, 11:56...... :blah:

I'm a "Max two screws, get raged when messing with peoples PCs that use more then that".. Seriously though I'm using 1 screw now and my HD is just lent on top of my DVD drive.. oh and the other HD i have is using 0 screws just sat at bottom of bay.. but thats supposed to be temporary (been there 3 months).

So no screws or less wont affect your HD in any way..

Every computer I build only gets gets two screws per drive as I cant really be bothered to take the right side panel off.
I'm only using two bits of plastic for my Hard drive.:D

So with two screws, which holes? Both on one side, cross screwed or front and back?

It maters not, one screw is usually enough really, more is only needed if your computer gets moved lots.
Usually its both on th4e same side as we can't be bothered going into the right hand side of the case.
