hey everyone, just wanted to see the figures, how many people are using XP and how many are using Vista (dont matter if its Vista ultimate or xp media etc etc) will include 32 bit though and no i dont want to know who is running anything else lol. sorry. xp vs vista only. give you're reason for why you stick with "X" or are going to move to "Y" because.... intrested to know really. me , i am staying with xp untill i really see the point in Vista. probably move to the 64bit vista once sp1 is out etc and games benifit from it (as for now games are losing out, looking at benchmarks). certainly dont see the point in 32bit Vista
running xp.. its still good gonna get vista prob round the time crysis comes out or another great game.... but will need an upgrade 1st tho...
Strictly speaking, you should have offered XP x64 as an option... Also, why is it under Hardware & Overclocking? Surely it should be under Windows OS & S/w? But voted anyway... seems I'm the only X64-er so far.
Linux? On my gaming computer, anyway, I'm still running XP. DX10 games aren't out yet, so Vista is only extra overhead. I figure I'll move across after the mid-range RD600 cards come out, or maybe sooner if the DX10 patch for Company of Heroes is really spectacular.
As soon as DX10 comes it'll be Vista full time. Though I might consider updating sooner, whichever comes first: DX10 or the Fiji update pack for Vista... I just hope that the entire OS is improved and updated with the new service pack...
running duall boot win xp pro and vista 64 ultimate. xp main gaiming OS due too Uber Poor Nvidia driver Support. vista 64 for everything else, its actually very stable and bug free for me , far more than the xp launch IMHO
R600 motherboards are out, look for it on OCUK, it was available last night. As for me, its Vista 64 and Vista 32, both business edition. Sam
Vista RC1 (64bit) currently. Will purchase it when I get a job (and therefore money), but I've found it to be a great experience and runs smoothly. The searching is fantastic and folder windows are a heck of a lot more organised. Thankfuly Acer have finally gotten round to realising a driver pack as well so my laptop's running smoothly again with webcam etc. <A88>
XP or XP MCE now on all my machines, and for a long time into the future I suspect. XP does everything I need it to do, I don't care for the visual 'experience', and works with all my hardware (which Vista doesn't at the moment).
