I can't believe people are having a serious discussion about the practicalities and general usage of leaf blowers.

It's actually more of a general discussion on the serious useage...

I've got a car alarm albeit the sensitivity isn't too high. Why? Primarily because it lowers my insurance rate. Men younger than 25 in NYC with clean driving records are forced to pay higher insurance rates than 18 year old women in bumble**** USA who've demolished two or three cars already.

Anyways - I know of two more useless things.

Fine print on billboard advertisements. I kid you not - I've seen several thus far. As close as we could get, we still couldn't make out a single word of the fine print.

A tow truck with spinning rims. I mean, what the... Some tow truck driver or company decided to blind it out with spinning rims?
You don't remember the boob haiku thread, do you? hehe.

When I read cpemma's post about the salad tongs, I had an excellent idea.
What about using the leaf blower to serve salad? :D

No its for the most serious crimes only, It would take much longer to kill you by croutons and hence be more cruel.

The yard guy that we used to have blew the fall leaves into our strawberry and raspberry beds in the back yard. He blew all the leaves in the front to across the street where there is a side fence for another house. The neighbor next door to that pile of leaves raked them up and blamed it on the leaf blower. I ended up paying her son to rake the leaves in the back yard.

In the summer, a bunch of dust would blow into our computer room through the window if we didn't shut it fast enough. The noise drove us nuts.

I wish I could put a banana in them like a banana in a tail pipe of a car.

    :grr:

nah, just get like a wind machine from a movie set and blow all his crap back onto his house and possibly damage it :) or put the wind machine infront of his front door, ring the bell and turn the machine on full :).

We have a pair of leaf blowers come round our office car park every morning to blow leaves and stones at our cars, while making lots of noise in the process. Either that, or he's been put off by the sound of some X1900's whirring away in the background. :D

Sir I belive you have been decieved, for you have either not come close with or do not understand the hoover-esqu qualities of the 5800FX :worried:

Anyway, a leaf blower has one practical purpose...providing an old 5800 with a quieter and more powerful cooling method...

i don't think it would be as fun :p

and raking leaves gets on my nerves for some reason, but I can imagine using the 'blowing thing' on them to clear an area :hehe: :D
