Ok well i was gunna post this in the serious discussion thread, as it is serious, Im 21 years old and my hair is thinning. Now I was thinking a) do i shave my head (the danger here is that it doesn't suit some people) potentially me b) grow it long Till from Rammstein style c) wahhh my hairs falling out! What do you all think?
I know a lot of people who lose their hair early, myself included, it's not that rare. Although it might just be that, because of my long hair, I kept on rubbing the bit where it often thins to keep my hair out of my face, and it just became a habit. Stopped doing it now and mines starting to grow back.

I would go for bald personally because when its cut its close to it anyway, try letting it go a little longer and then you can see how bald you will really be. It may just get thin and stop or your forehead will continue down your back.
Consider yourself lucky. I know a guy who starting losing his hair at 15. Besides, it might just go back a little and stay there.
I know a couple people a few years younger than you that are almost totally bald. It's genetic, not much to be done unless you want to try one of those Rogaine-type products, but I doubt it'd do much. Just don't do something horribly distasteful with it, like the several-times-mentioned combover.
Been losing mine since I turned 17. Also, mine is headed gray. Fast. Like every month it's worse. And I'm only 25. Least I'm not alone...
Not that I speak for all women - but I think baldness can be sexy on a young guy If you shave it - you could just say it's your new thing A man with long hair can be sexy too... but it has to be kept ultra neat and tidy OR! Tell people that it shrank in the wash (a response I usually use when someone feels the need to mention "Oh! You've had a haircut...)
I hated the idea of shaving my head, always thought it wouldn't suit me -- vanity eh. Well i knew i was 'thinning' on top so one sunday afternoon last summer got the other half to shave to all off - Ok there was alcohol involved but i was just to warm to have hair of any length. Ok she pissed herself laughing the whole time but ... Bit of a shock at first .. but now love it ! best thing ever. easy to wash, easy to dry and you don't worry about it. After all were else can it go ? no more cow licks, hair gel, wax etc. And if you feel like a change grow it back. Going from short to a length is less time than growing it long in the first place.
