Playstation 3 Does PS3 HDD swap void warranty?

Hey guys,

I'm sure soneone out there knows. Does swapping the PS3 60gigger with another one "void the warranty"?

I cant check at the moment as most game and fun sites are blocked while I'm at work (thankfully not bit-tech!) and while I picked up my unit this morning, it's sitting the car until i go home so I cant check anything yet.

Basically i means whether there's a point in picking up a 2.5inch 160 sata hdd before I go home.

Quite good of them to let you swap it tbh, would've expected them to be very opressive about it.

 

if they were the ps3 would loose another good thing about it and be even more behind in the market place.

 

It's because they want to promote is as being a media and computational machine as well.

 

That's true, I'm still stuck in the trap of it just being a games console...
