Beginning: 16-03-07 End: for finishing Before everything, sorry for my bad english Hi all I'm here to present you my new project. The case i will use it's a Lian-li PC7b. All the project will be realized on one of my CNCs. I already bought the case 2 mounths ago but until today the CNC was busy with modding and waterblocks projects for my clients. The name of projecto says everything, the subjets will be the black and the red colors. However in these 2 months after the acquisition of the case I was thinking about the project, having some ideas and making some sketechs. The photos are taken off by cellphone, then the quality isn't very good When the project will be finished the case will go to a photographic session. The case as already almost know is this Then now I present you some sketchs that I've made. As it will be the frontal Red acrylic and aluminium. The pieces in acrylic in the 5.25 bays will exist in the 3.5 bays but in proporcional size to that bays. Now the sketch of the left side panel As already you must have repaired the mesh that I will apply in the side panel will be red painted. The right side panel (can be modified) And now a general view Tomorrow I will put some photos. Regards P.P InDaHouse
Looks great, black and red is just goes good together. But personaly I donøt think the window in the right side fits the rest of the case - stick to the stright lines. Stubkier
Is there really a need for 3 external 3.5'' drive bays? Seems kind of a waste of intake space on the front. Make the top section shorter, and make a bigger intake down the bottom.
There is an internal 3.5" bay. By the looks of it a new case front will be fabricated because the existing fan is a 120mm but the design has 2x80mm.
I never said anything about the case being anything, just stating that there's really no point for 3 external 3.5'' drive bays. Hell, I wouldn't even bother with 2 to be honest. As I said, I'd suggest sticking with one or two external 3.5'' drive bays and giving yourself a better intake.
The computer you're using to do the Sketch-Up models with is the PC-61. The PC-61 has two 80 mm fans up front, one 80 mm blowhole, and one 80 mm fan in the IO panel. The PC-7 is the same as the PC-61 but with one less 3.5" bay and instead of four 80 mm fans, it has three 120s. Just a slight revision Lian-Li made when 120 mm fans became really popular. Aside from that, they're essentially the same case.
Update 1 Here is new photos Today i started the left side panel cuts CNC Power I bought yesterday all metal polish. This is just an experience, I will polish this better. So here is what I do today hdd cage disc before and after... Today you will see the left side panel cuts ready, stay tuned Regards P.P InDaHouse

Update 3 Hi all Here is some new photos of the cuts with more details The curves of the biggest window with 10mm ray The 3 windows (all equal ones) with 25mm ray The slop already know of Lian-Li with 45 degrees of inclination And to finish, the left side panel mounted in the case Now im making new sketchs for the top and for the right side panel... Regards P.P InDaHouse
Looking good, those kind of cuts can be made by hand, but damn it's easier to do with a CNC With red acrylic behind that thing, it's going to look really sweet. Keep going, the audience is watching Janne
thanks all... with that comments i've more inspiration to my project I can say now that i will use watercooling with waterblocks and reservoirs made by me. I've many ideas but the watercooling need to wait, the case is first. Thanks all
